Since starting the Team Up for Schools program in 2017, you’ve helped us raise $72,953.90 for our local schools. Here’s a quick look at the incredible things the schools have been able to do with those funds and why it’s so important to continue to Team Up for Schools.

St. Helens High School
For the 2018/2019 school year, St. Helens High School was given $26,785.45, which was used to offset costs for elective courses such as Culinary Arts, Metals, Art, and Photography (see image above). The school also used the funds to send several students to the state SkillsUSA competition, and to purchase supplies to create an emergency to-go bucket for every classroom and office.

Scappoose High School
The Scappoose Indians used the $19,163.15 they received from the 2018/2019 Team Up for School campaign to purchase items for their science department and weight room, as well as install a frisbee disc golf course. There are plans to buy math software and support for programs throughout the school.

Rainier High School
Receiving a total of $5,581.70 for the 2018/2019 school year, the school used the funds to install a marquee at the entrance of the school, keeping parents and students up-to-date about school functions and events.
