ST. HELENS, Ore., June 15, 2016: Employees at St. Helens Community Credit Union came together to donate enough toys, first aid supplies, and snacks to fill four large bins for the upcoming, area Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Summer Camp.

The toys, supplies, and snacks, along with a $500 Amazon gift card from St. Helens Community, were presented on Tuesday to Elizabeth Squires, MDA Associate Director. MDA expressed a heartfelt thanks for the donation.

“Donations like these help us open up a world of possibilities for children living with neuromuscular diseases,” stated Squires. “It’s wonderful to see our local community coming together to help the MDA.”

St. Helens Community Credit Union staff was moved by the MDA’s mission, and wanted to help any way they could.

“We’re told that kids dream about these camps all year long,” stated Brooke Van Vleet, President and CEO of St. Helens Community. “We’re proud to do our part, any way we can.”
