St. Helens Community Employees Volunteer on Holiday

Employees volunteer during the holidays

ST. HELENS, Ore., October 10, 2016: St. Helens Community Credit Union employees volunteered their Columbus Day holiday to help those in need.

In addition to an all-staff meeting, the team of credit union employees made nearly 300 personal toiletry bags to be handed out by Community Action Team to those in need.

“This was a terrific day for everyone,” stated St. Helens Community President and CEO Brooke Van Vleet. “Community Action Team does great work for an important cause. It’s been an honor to partner with them to help local families.”

“We’d like to thank St. Helens Community employees for helping us help others,” stated Martha Olmstead, of Community Action Team. “Their generosity of time and resources is greatly appreciated.”

Community Action Team serves Columbia, Clatsop, and Tillamook counties to help address the causes and conditions of poverty. St. Helens Community plans to work with Community Action Team again in the future to bring hope to those who need it.
