ST.HELENS, Ore., July 10, 2026 — The InRoads Credit Union Team Up for Schools program, now in its ninth year, raised $119,865.25 for Columbia County high schools during the 2025/26 school year.
What started as a side project in 2017 has, in just under a decade, turned into one of the biggest fundraisers for local high schools in the region. The InRoads Credit Union Team Up for Schools program, launched in 2017, is a highly successful, community-centered campaign that empowers members to help raise funds for Columbia County high schools.
During the recent school year, members helped raise $60,221.30 for St. Helens High School, $43,703.10 for Scappoose High School, and $15,940.85 for Rainier High School.
“InRoads is proud to celebrate nearly a decade of investing in local students, schools, and communities,” stated Annette Pixley, InRoads Director of Digital Solutions and one of those who helped launch the Team Up for Schools program in 2017. “What started as a simple idea has grown to support three local high schools. We're honored to continue turning everyday spending into meaningful support for the next generation.”
To participate in the fundraising program, InRoads members choose one of three Team Up for Schools debit cards that feature the name of the high school and mascot on the front of the card. Every time a member uses their card, InRoads sets aside five cents of every qualified debit card interchange fee. The credit union then gives that money, as a lump-sum contribution at the end of the school year, to the school featured on the card.
For this year’s contribution of nearly $120,000, members used their debit cards 2,397,305 times. That’s a lot of card swipes and taps. “InRoads is proud to do our part,” stated Hannah Baldwin, InRoads Credit Union Director of Marketing. “We hope to see even more members supporting their favorite high schools in the coming years.”
Since its inception, Team Up for Schools has helped raise $776,239.30 for Columbia County high schools. To celebrate 10 years of the Team Up for Schools program, InRoads is hoping to get even more members involved.
