In case you hadn’t noticed, Valentine’s Day is just a week away. What are you doing for your special someone? We’ve put together some tips to help you stay out of unnecessary debt while still having a wonderful time.
• Bring dinner home. Not only is it easier to eat take-out at home (thank you, pandemic), but it’ll cost you less as well. Just don’t forget to tip the folks at the restaurant. They need to make a living too.
• Get crafty. Make your own cards and write a wonderful poem for your love. They’ll appreciate the gesture, and your wallet will appreciate the cost savings.
• Make them an amazing meal. Don’t forget to pick up a nice bottle of something they like as well.
• Postpone Valentine’s Day. If you can, move Valentine’s Day out to the next Friday. All of the after-holiday merchandise will be drastically reduced. Can you say super-inexpensive boxes of chocolate?
