Preparing for a Core Processing System Upgrade
In the coming months, InRoads will be upgrading its technology and moving away from a legacy core processing system. The upgrade will better position InRoads for the future by allowing us to leverage emerging technologies and deliver a more streamlined banking experience for our members that’s safe and secure for years to come.
While most of the changes will happen behind the scenes, there will be some service interruptions over the weekend of May 30 – June 1, prior to the upgraded system going live on Monday, June 2. Our team will work quickly and efficiently so this conversion is as seamless as possible, and keep you updated every step of the way.
What You Need to Know
There’s nothing for you to do just yet. You’ll start receiving plenty of information about the upgrade in the coming weeks, including a complete Resource Guide packed with answers. In the meantime, we’ve put together some quick FAQs about what to expect.
A core processing system upgrade involves the operating software that runs the credit union. Essentially, it’s like replacing the operating software on your home computer, with a similar outcome – faster processing and more reliability. The user experience is better and more efficient.
Providing our members with the best banking experience possible is very important to InRoads. This technology upgrade enables us to provide a more efficient and streamlined experience by optimizing both our security capabilities as well as operating efficiency.
During the upgrade, your InRoads credit and debit cards will continue to work at retailers, gas stations, and more, with some purchases being limited. However, Digital Banking, InRoads LIVE, and branch access will not be available from May 30 at 4:00pm through June 1.
Yes. Your accounts, loans, and money will be safe during the upgrade process, and as always, backed by the National Credit Union Administration’s (NCUA) Share Insurance Fund.
