ST. HELENS, Ore., January 13, 2017: Last year was one of St. Helens Community Credit Union’s biggest years for charitable donations, giving well over $30,000 in time and monetary support.

That support included the sponsorship of 18 local youth sports teams, sharing financial literacy with 738 local high school students, and logging 179 volunteer hours. Local organizations that received monetary or other support included Columbia Humane Society, Columbia Pacific Food Bank, CASA, Toy & Joy, Amani Center, and more.

St. Helens Community President and CEO, Brooke Van Vleet said about the donations, “We’re proud to be part of this local community and the lives of so many families and small businesses. These donations are the least we can do to give back and support others.”
