The Story So Far
We all thrive when we grow together. But it’s also vitally important to be an individual. The merger of those two trains of thought is alive and well at InRoads Credit Union, where local people offer local service with local pride.
At InRoads, we understand the community and have been proud to be part of it for over 75 years. It all started with the employees of two local paper mills. The year was 1938.
Back then, the families who called this region home lived on less than $50 a month. They built homes, opened businesses and started families. Over the generations, our community grew and so did the credit union.
Today, we’re serving the great-great grandkids of some of those founding members – helping them plan ahead, run businesses, buy cars, finance homes and achieve their financial goals and dreams. Membership in the credit union is available to individuals that live, work, attend school, volunteer, or worship in Columbia, Clatsop, Cowlitz, Multnomah and Washington Counties. This also includes individuals with immediate family who are existing credit union members. Immediate family is considered to be: spouse, child, step-child, grandchild, parent, step-parent, grandparent, or sibling.
Here, it’s a different kind of social networking. You’ll find us teaching financial education in local schools, as well as offering loan rates that keep monthly budgets in check, financial products for local businesses, and services designed to save you money. In other words, we care about your family, local business, and the whole community.
You can rely on us and each other. Together we are InRoads Credit Union.
InRoads is in good hands, with your volunteer Board of Directors working with senior management to set the strategic direction for the credit union. Management is then responsible for the day to day operations of the credit union. We also have a Supervisory Committee that ensures the records of the credit union are maintained accurately and oversees the annual financial audit.

Giving back to the community and the people who need it most.
We believe in giving with purpose. Tell us about your non-profit and how we can help. If possible, we’ll find some money for your organization or send volunteers out to help. After all, we’re part of the community too. It’s our pleasure to help whenever and wherever we can.
Create a video and you could get an extra $3,000 for college. The only requirements are that you are a senior in high school heading off to college in the fall. Be sure to review all of the video criteria and requirements before creating your masterpiece.
Help raise money for your favorite local high school when you pledge your support for the Indians, Columbians, or Lions. We’ll send you a special debit card that, every time you use it, will earn 5¢ for the school on your card.
